December

Colloquium on Buruli ulcer and tuberculosis, Cotonou, Benin (5-7 Dec 2005). Organised by ITM.

Burulico Meeting, Cotonou, Benin (8-9 Dec 2005).

There will be 3 more meetings in March of every year the project is running. The meeting will be shortly before the annual WHO workshop on BU in March in Geneva, thus the participation at this important workshop is contained within the travel budget. The participation at the WHO workshop will be a means to disseminate the scientific results of the project, it will be used to inform the other participants of this specialized meeting about the results and progress of the project.

Two additional project meetings will take place at KNUST, Ghana and at IME, Congo DR, respectively, in the interval between the meetings in Geneva. These meetings in the DC partner laboratories will include presentations (at which junior laboratory staff will be welcome) as well as financial reviews, points of decision making and forward planning.

These events will be preceded by written summaries and work plans, so that maximum input can be taken. The common language of the consortium will be English as all partners speak English fluently. Since the European partners speak French too, visits at the local laboratories for implementation assistance can be held in French. The final meeting will be in the framework of the Geneva meeting and will be used to prepare the final report to the European Commission.
