Course programme

Most of our courses are ‘advanced study programs’: doctoral and master’s programs, postgraduate courses and short specialization courses as part of lifelong learning. Some of the programs are offered via the Internet (distance learning).

Studying at ITM

Studying at the ITM is a unique experience. Annually some 700 health providers study at the ITM, from all parts of the world. More than half come from outside Belgium, The study programs – in (human or veterinary) tropical medicine and public health – are problem-oriented and put emphasis on both academic and professional skills.

Fellowships

With the financial support of several organisations, ITM offers a number of fellowships to applicants from developing countries. Admission to a program/course is a prerequisite for, but not a guarantee of, a scholarship.
