Studying in Antwerp

Have you decided to study in Antwerp at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM)? Then you’ll soon find yourself in a lively, multicultural metropolis.

All your classes take place in the central buildings of the ITM: on the corner of the Nationalestraat and the Kronenburgstraat. This is just a stone’s throw from the Antwerp’s Groenplaats, the Royal Museum for Fine Arts (Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Dutch) and the Scheldt river.

Don’t waste a moment!

Antwerp fascinates everyone when they first see it. You’ll arrive via one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. And you’ll be able to go wherever you want with the public transport network of buses, trams and underground metro trains. It makes it easy to visit the theatre, cinema or concert hall for example. These destinations are all part of the reason the ‘City of Rubens’ is synonymous with culture.

Antwerp, world city

Studying on the river Scheldt means sampling from the global kitchen. And you’ll do that in the epicentre of the world diamond trade, a short stroll away from the second largest sea harbour in Europe and surrounded by trend-setting fashion designers.
In short: there is no better city to study in than Antwerp!
