Collect2Know-header-1

Test the Collect2Know blood collection device

Collect2Know is a new way to easily collect blood at home.

Test our innovative blood collection device

We are looking for volunteers for an innovative study that aims to facilitate blood collection at home. Your participation plays a crucial role in optimising Collect2Know, our new self-collection device, designed to collect a small amount of blood (1 ml). Your feedback is essential to ensure that our product is not only user-friendly but also meets the needs of future users.

What does participation involve?

1. Introduction and explanation

You will schedule an appointment at the Institute of Tropical Medicine. A researcher will explain the study design and procedure. This gives you the opportunity to understand all aspects of the study and ask questions. After this conversation, you can decide whether or not you wish to participate.

2. Using the device

Once you have signed the consent form, you will receive the test kit. You will use the self-collection device independently, following the instruction materials. The researcher will be present to support you if needed.

3. Evaluation

After using the device, you will complete two questionnaires about the user-friendliness and acceptance of the device and the instruction materials.

4. Follow-up conversation

We will conclude with a short discussion to collect additional feedback on your experience with the device.

Benefits of participation

As a thank you for your time and contribution, you will receive a compensation of €25. In addition, you will contribute to the development of an important healthcare tool. The study takes about 45 minutes, and no tests will be performed on the collected blood. Your privacy and rights as a participant will be respected at all times.

You may combine participation in this study with participation in another ITM study.
