Disentangling HIV

This study aims to identify missed opportunities for HIV prevention and to profile individuals who remain at the highest risk of acquiring HIV since the roll-out of HIV PrEP in Antwerp, Flanders.

About the study

In this mixed-methods study, available survey data and clinical records will be analysed, and interviews will be conducted with people who have a recent HIV infection or are at high risk of acquiring HIV.

Who is eligible?

  • You were recently diagnosed with an HIV infection.
    OR

  • You are at risk of acquiring HIV.

What do you have to do?

You take part in a one-hour interview about the time leading up to and following your HIV diagnosis.

What are the benefits?

Participants in the interview will receive a voucher for their time. There are no other direct benefits, but you help improve the knowledge on HIV prevention.

This study is a collaborative effort between the Departments of Clinical Sciences and Public Health.
