This year, ZuiderZinnen explores the concept of ‘giving meaning’ in its broadest sense: it could be about finding direction, sense or intention. About giving meaning or purpose to life. Or maybe it's about taking a moment to slow down and enjoy something beautiful.

"Africa is everywhere around us, it lives within us and will always be present, even if we don't realise it"

For Mwinda Kitoko, an Antwerp-based non-profit organisation, each day is a celebration of life. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. You are warmly invited to a special afternoon during which you can experience Africa, the cradle of humanity, in a new way. Beyond the power of words and spoken communication, Mwanda Kitoko will also help you discover the significance of gestures and non-verbal communication. To them, living means encountering differences, and listening is an art. Join us on Sunday 22 September from 1pm onwards, and meet the diverse talents from the cradle of humanity and from Europe.

ZuiderZinnen

During ZuiderZinnen, the Festival of the Word, writers, poets, actors and musicians show their finest work. Various activities take place on the square in front of KMSKA, the heart of ZuiderZinnen, creating a festival-like atmosphere to celebrate literature. That is ZuiderZinnen.
