PROMISE

Four years of PROMISE
PROMISE, or "Optimise PrEP to Maximise Impact", was a four-year (2019-2022) research project (FWO-SBO) between ITM and the University of Antwerp. Its purpose was to learn how PrEP roll-out can be optimised to maximally reduce HIV incidence and benefit sexual health.
In the past four years, the PROMISE project collected valuable scientific evidence on the implementation of PrEP in Belgium. Who is (not) being reached with PrEP? What are the needs and preferences of PrEP users? What is the best way to deliver PrEP care? What about groups with difficult access to PrEP, such as sex workers and migrants?
In this symposium, we will present the main results of the four-year PROMISE project, as well as recommendations for practice and policy. This will also be a networking event for people working in the HIV domain, with the opportunity to meet during lunch and reception.

Care providers, community organisations, policy makers and researchers in the domain of HIV and PrEP.
