Laptop requirements for students (BYOD)
Students of ITM are invited to use their own laptop for their studies. It doesn’t matter if you use a MacBook or a Windows laptop, as far as they comply with the system requirements.
Windows
We expect your laptop to have at least the following specifications:
Windows 8, but Windows 10 is recommended. Windows 7 shouldn’t be an issue, but is no longer officially supported by Microsoft as of February 2020
Intel Core i3 7th generation or AMD A12-9800 with a clock speed of 2.4GHz
4GB (preferably 8GB) of RAM (memory)
Preferably a 256GB SSD hard drive, but a normal hard drive is also acceptable, albeit slower
Battery life of at least 6 hours
Wi-Fi card
To find your system settings on Windows 8 or Windows 10, follow these instructions.
Mac
For Mac users, we at least expect a more or less recent Macbook Air with macOS 10.11 or higher. To find your system settings, follow these instructions.
