I am an anthropologist and I obtained a PhD in Development Studies at the IOB (University of Antwerp) in 2021 with a thesis focused on people’s sense of belonging in contemporary Burundi. Between 2022 and 2023, I have worked at the Global Health Institute of the University of Antwerp to lead the “social sciences” work package of an Ebola vaccine trial in Boende, western DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), where my team and I explored perceptions of Ebola and health seeking behaviours (among others). At the ITM (Public Health Department, Health Policy Unit), I will be working in a project aimed to strengthen public health institutions in Burundi, DRC and Guinea.
