Book Launch: Institute of Tropical Medicine - From Specialist School to World-Class Institution

Background

The book highlights the rich history of the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM), which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, and illustrates how ITM has evolved from a school of tropical medicine into an internationally renowned global institution.

The afternoon will begin with a welcome address by the Executive Director, Dr Özge Tunçalp, followed by a conversation with author and ITM physician Ludwig Apers, a moderated panel discussion, and brief commentaries on a selection of images from the book.

We will conclude with a reception starting at 5pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by the author.
