The Tourist Office will supply you with maps and other information on tourism and cultural events.

Foreigner's Registration Department
Student Support will assist you in applying for your residence permit, but you must go in person to the studentenloket (student office) of the Foreigner’s Registration Department to sign the application. If you need official documents (e.g., proof of housing), you must also request them from this department. Some documents can be requested online.

At the start of the academic year, you'll find a temporary office in Gate 15, an information desk for students.

Medical costs
Medical treatment can be expensive, which is why you are legally required to have health insurance. With doctors’ receipts and hospital bills, you can go to a local branch of the National Health Service or a private insurance company (e.g., Ethias). The costs will then be partially reimbursed to your bank account.
Students staying in Antwerp for more than six months are insured through CM (Christelijke Mutualiteit).
