After 3 weeks at sea and 2 weeks in the port of Cotonou, our production container arrived at its final destination. Our partner in Benin, Centre National Hospitalier et Universitaire de Pneumo-Phtisiologie (CNHU-PPC), is currently finalising the surrounding constructions works, after which we can start production soon.

By the end of September, the ITM project team together with our Spanish partner Reactivos para Diagnóstico (RPD) will follow the production container. They will then install the facility and will give training on production and quality management. In early October, the first agar plates and blood culture bottles will roll off the production line. This means that we will very soon be able to supply products for the SIMBLE field study.
