Take a look inside our SIMBLE production container

Liselotte Hardy, ITM and Jean-Claude Senou, CHNU-PPC visited the Spanish SIMBLE consortium partner, Reactivos Para Diagnóstico, this week. Reason for the visit was the completion of the production unit developed for local production.

To build this unit, a large production container was refurbished and equipped with all needed technical systems and equipment to produce microbiology media for the SIMBLE project in quality-assured way. The container was designed and fabricated in Barcelona, Spain and will be shipped and installed in Cotonou, Benin. It will leave from Barcelona port at the end of June, to arrive in Cotonou one month later. Production will start in September this year, after installation and training on site. Perfectly in time for the start of the field study in Cotonou!
