A first monitoring visit of the SIMBLE study in Burkina Faso took place from 19 till 21 February 2024. Barbara Barbé and Gaëtan Van Aelst, respectively the principal investigator (PI) and monitor of the study at ITM, traveled to Ouagadougou to do a first follow-up visit after the start of the study in December 2023. They followed the study procedures in the laboratory, verified the informed consent forms, checked the data collection and data entry and performed source data verification. They worked together with the Burkinabe study team during three intensive days. A visit report will follow soon with some points for improvement. In general, the study is very well implemented and the study team is very dedicated and hard-working. A big thank you for this nice collaboration!
