Algemene informatie

A mark of 60% in the ‘Basic Epidemiology’ module is required before you can start with this one. This module builds on the subjects dealt with in the ‘Basic Epidemiology’ module. It includes advanced statistical models (generalised linear model, mixed models, survival analysis) and introduces quantitative risk assessment.

Leerdoelstellingen

  • Understand logistic, exact logistic and Firth logistic regression.
  • Understand Poisson, negative binomial, standard and zero-inflated models.
  • Understand the meaning of cluster effects in field survey results.
  • Understand the difference between fixed and random effects in regression models.
  • Understand adaptations necessary to standard GLM regression to cope with clustering.
  • Understand the specific characteristics of survival data.
  • Understand the different statistical models that can be applied to survival data.
  • Understand the purpose of risk analysis.
