I am a geospatial health scientist/spatial epidemiologist
I work at the interface of geospatial methods and their applications to global health challenges in SSA. I focus on spatial health metrics to improve our understanding of population health disparities, inequalities, and vulnerabilities at high resolution. Particularly geographic access, marginalisation, coverage of interventions, disease prevalence and associated determinants. I have pursued my research through competitive research funding.
I analyse household surveys, censuses, health facility data, environmental data, and socio-demographic data through geospatial and statistical approaches.
I am committed to continuous capacity building in geospatial health and practice open science. Read my spatial epidemiology journey. I have a PhD in spatial epidemiology, a master's in GIS & remote sensing, a PgDip in health research, and a BSc in geomatic engineering & GIS. I am widely published in spatial epidemiology.
